GDPR Compliance

Central Customs LTD (CC) is committed to a policy of protecting the rights and privacy of individuals. CC lacks the resources and capacity of large organisations but has taken measures to ensure we are compliant with GDPR legislation and this document sets out the three key elements of GDPR and how that relates to CC,

The data we hold

The information we hold is as follows:

  • Customers

Contact information, including address, e-mail address, telephone number and vehicle information.

  • Suppliers

Contact information, including address, e-mail address and telephone number. Bank account information is held as appropriate.

 

Why we hold this information (lawful basis for processing)

We have a legitimate interest in being able to contact customers and suppliers regarding business related activities. Your data will be kept for a minimum of six years after which time it will be destroyed if the purpose for which you gave us the information is no longer valid. We will retain you data for marketing purposes until such time as you advise us that you no longer wish to receive marketing information from us.

How we keep this information safe

Central Customs will never pass on or sell information we hold to third parties.

 

Paper copies of contracts, bank details etc are all kept in a locked filing cabinet on our premises. Only the CC Manager has the key to this.

 

Digital information is stored securely on our encrypted, online database.
